Please remember that all these activities and tours are together with renowed Arctic Explorer and Mountain Guide Ario Daniel Zhoh (www.honortheplanet.net) who lives up here in the North exploring it since 1987…

 

Above all, it is his life and deep passion, then, also his profession: he will lead you with the joy of a kid and the reliability due to his profession and almost 30 years of enthusiast experience.

 

This also means that, beyond the few activities mentioned below, Ario will be particularly happy to work out a special made program for you if you will desire one.

Basic prices and extra costs

-Borealis Wilderness Lodge-

NB: the complete journey by plane to Sweden and the train trip to Murjek Station (and back) is full responsibility of the customer.

 

>Transportation from Murjek Train Station to Borealis Wilderness Lodge  and back.

From Murjek train station to our Lodge the distance is 200 kms (400 kms for us…):

-By Taxi: 4000 sek, 2 hours and ½ drive.

-By Bus (one change half way), 4 hours drive, 350 sek per person. 

NB: always check week end days or holidays as Christmas, New Year’s Eve and so on: often the service may be cancelled!!

-By our Van (mini bus), 2 hours and ½ drive, with the following prices:

a) With full Van (from 8 to 10 persons + trailer for the bags): 350 sek per person.

b) For any other number of passengers, the total price for the trip will cost (one way) 2000 sek, to be shared

c) A single person will pay: 1500 sek

The same options (Taxi, Bus or Van) clearly apply for the trip back from the Lodge to Murjek Train Station.

NB: the bus, which leaves once a day from the Lodge (it runs every day except Saturdays and Sundays and during holidays), departs at….05.20 a.m!…    

 

Add 200 sek/person in the case you wish our Van to reach you or be picked up at Gallivare Airport or Train station-

 

>Base Price for the stay at Borealis Wilderness Lodge:

-Simple rental of the Lodge (you rent the whole Lodge for yourself: no guided activities nor meals): 700 € 1 week, 750€ 10 days, 1000€ 15 days.

Other options:

​

-High Season: (1 to 7 February, Easter week, and from August to mid September): 170€ per person per day with minimum 3 persons. For 2 persons: 180€ per person per day. Minimum stay: 5 days.

It includes: Full Board, Lodging, Daily Excursions by skis or snow shoes or on foot or by canoe (equipment rental is included) led by Ario Z'Hoo, Mountain Guide&Explorer.

-Christmas: (at your choice, between 15 December-10 January, minimum stay: 5 days): 200€ per day per person with minimum 4 persons. It includes: Full Board, Lodging, Daily Excursions by skis or snow shoes   (equipment rental is included) led by  Ario Z'Hoo, Mountain Guide&Explorer.    

NB: up to only 5 days of stay, the price is 170€ per person per day. 

-Other Seasons (Low Season): 150€ per person per day with minimum 3 persons. Minimum stay: 6 days.

Two persons: 160€ per person per day.  It includes: Full Board, Lodging, Daily Excursions by skis or snow shoes or on foot or by canoe (equipment rental is included) led by  Ario Z'Hoo, Mountain Guide&Explorer.

NB- Always keep in mind that these prices do NOT include the travel to Sweden and to Murjek (and back) which is of your responsibility. And they do NOT include the transportations with our Van from and to Murjek (for these, please see again on top of this list).

P.S.- We will always be glad and ready to give you a hand in case of difficulties when you will be booking your journey; or to give suggestions about other travel possibilities (e.g the domestic flight from Stockholm to up here, instead of the train…).

> Costs for extra activities  

-Sleddog: from 140€ (3 hours) per person.

-Excursions by snow machine: from 100€ (2 hours) per person.

-Boat trip in the great Delta surrounded by mountains: from 15€ (1 hour) per person (at least 5 persons).

-Cultural Evenings with Sami People: 100€ per person with a minimum of 5 persons. Kids up to 15 y.o.: free.

-Daily ski (Backcountry) or snow shoe or on foot trip, from 3 to 6 hours: included.

-Daily Easy Mountain Ascent (on foot or skis), from 3 to 6 hours: included. NB: 50€ for every additional hour.

-Adventure Camps for Youth: under construction.

 

NB- Any other activity (dream…) will have to be agreed together with you. As for example:

-a ski or foot or sleddog expedition of several days into the mountains of great wild Sarek National Park.

-Icefall climbing.

-Outdoor School for Kids.

-Climbing a mountain which requires more days in the outdoors.

-Hike or (and) canoe trip of several days.

Activities

Northern Lights

Until april 20, we welcome our guests for the last breathes of this winter.

You will be living at our Borealis Lodge, a full comfort  luxurious chalet in the middle of the wilderness; every day guided activities (sleddog, ski trips, snowshoes and more) will bring you to admire the surroundings of this Nordic paradise!

Price: 1000 euros per person with minimum 4 persons (includes the stay at the Lodge, breakfast, dinner and the use of our equipment, skis, etc,; doesn’t include costs of your travel ), 1 week.

 

EKO SKI

It’s our “answer” to the cancer of Heliskiing which is destroying even the most remote wild corners of our Planet. We will approach the mountains in the most silent way possible: with the dogs pulling the sleds, as in a Jack London tale! Based in a traditional Sami tent (Lavvu) every day we will enjoy as kids climbing up and down majestic peaks and snowy slopes with our skis…

NB: this program is also suitable for those who are not high standard skiers.

Price: 2500 euros per person all included except your travel  (yes, unfortunately high, due to the dogs…, but it is really worthy), minimum 4 persons, 1 week.

Soft alternative: we will reach the mountains and the Lavvu with our own legs (on skis pulling a small sled behind….: as true explorers!): 1200 eu per person (min 4 persons).

 

Wild Sarek

For experts. From the Lodge,  we will enter into the great wild Sarek (Europe’s last wilderness) with skis and pulling our sleds. With a circular trek, we will visit the best heart of this mountains in about 10 days… Unique experience!

Price: 1500 euros per person all included (not the travel), minimum 3 persons.

Under request we also propose the complete ski traverse of Sarek National Park. Mid march to mid may.

 

Autumns full colors!

Fall time (from end august to about September 20) up here is “the Magical Time”… Even from Japan people are coming to witness its wordless colors during the day and the first majestic Northern Lights in the evening. We propose stays of 7 or 10 or 15 days here at our Lodge with daily guided activities (hikes, canoe, meet the Sami people, etc…). This is an ideal holiday also for families with kids from 5 years old.

Prices:

-1000 euros per persons for 7 or 10 days.

-1600 euros per person for 15 days.

Prices are always with minimum 4 persons, excluded the travel; kids are for free until 14 years old.

You will enter Sarek’s National Park through its most majestic “gate”…, the Rapadalen Delta with breath taking colors of the autumn….: a LIFE TIME Experience.

 

ZEN Mountain Retreat      NEW!!

The great new from this year: a Zen experience here at the Lodge with Master Videha (www.pilgrimsofemptyness.com), the right combination between nature’s silence with your inner silence

Period: from 4 to 11 october.

Price of the Zen retreat with the stay at our Lodge: 800 euros (excluded the travel).

After the retreat we will also offer the possibility to stay by us for another week (with only 360 euros extra), in order to keep your quietness and hunting for more Northern Lights…!

 

The Remote Cabin…

 

If our Lodge is already into the wilds…, this small hermitage made of logs it’s even more nestled into the deeper wilderness; you can reach it in about 2 hours hike on your legs or by skis. It is a true retreat from the world, for those who are in search of it; even if for a few days, you will feel for sure Earth’s powerful energy. You will bring your own food and we rent it for 20 euros per day.
